SHAWN HELVEY, LCPC, WFR
Shawn Helvey is a therapist, mentor, and coach who specializes in working with young men transitioning from adolescence into adulthood. He has done considerable work in a wilderness setting, ranging from co-leading trips with groups of young men to coordinating therapeutic retreats with them and their families. He earned his master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida in 2015 and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Montana.
Shawn served as the Program Manager of the Greater Gallatin Day Treatment Center with Youth Dynamics where he developed the structure and served in a therapeutic role working with young people in need of greater support than the public school can provide. In 2016, Shawn founded ManMade Mentors in Bozeman, Montana.
Shawn works with teens, young adults, and families across the country in person and via telehealth offering therapy, mentoring, and parent coaching services. He is also a clinical supervisor consulting with and supporting therapists who are actively pursuing Montana state licensure. In his free time, Shawn enjoys spending time with family, staying active, and exploring new places.
