Jane Torok Bozeman Therapy

After many years of life adventures, Jane is aware that our journey can be filled with an amazing variety of experiences. Some of these experiences we cherish and appreciate, while others lead to feelings of hurt, struggle or being stuck. She has found that when life throws unexpected curve balls and challenges, it can be really helpful to have a caring, compassionate person share the journey.

Jane enjoys working with individuals of all ages. Creating strong relationships through listening, and using a Person-centered and Humanistic approach is important to her. She also has experience using the arts, nature and animals to enhance work with clients.

Initially trained as a nurse, Jane’s journey has included raising a family while living on a small ranch in Montana, and more recently completing graduate school with a Master’s degree in Social Work. Her internships during graduate school provided a variety of experiences working with all ages, with an emphasis on children and teenagers. An internship at an equine learning facility focused on working with young people, utilizing the interactions with horses to help understand emotions, self-awareness, and healthy relationships. Interning at a rural mental health counseling practice included working in the local K-12 school with kids of all ages, as well as working with a diverse rural population. She currently volunteers at Windhorse Equine Learning Center, using horses and mindfulness techniques as tools to work with anxiety in children and teens.

In addition to spending time with her family and animals, Jane enjoys spending time outdoors running, hiking and gardening, and indoors cooking and singing.
